Further he says ‘Having maintenance centre for the aircraft within the country can tremendously bring down the cost & ‘down time’ of aircraft’. Thus we conclude that India has bright chances & the potential to be a hub of aviation activities with aviation maintenance as a core areas. As per industry sources Mr. Kapil Kaul, Regional Representative & Vice President of Sydney based Centre of Asia Pacific Aviation says ‘the airlines will stimulate the market & create passenger growth.

Every aircraft for it’s day to day maintenance & safe operation requires Aircraft Maintenance Engineers & Technicians. No aircraft can undertake flight unless & until it is certified Safe & Airworthy for operation by an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licensed by the Director General of Civil Aviation, Government of India.
 
The need & demand of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers in the Aviation Industry is much more than their availability. This huge gap between the demand & supply of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers in the Aviation sector contributes to it’s being one of the highest paid jobs in India & abroad. An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer starts with a salary of Rs. 20-40 thousand which goes up to Rs. 1.5-2 lakhs in the prime of their career. There is a lack of awareness among the younger generation in this field which needs to be rectified for the prosperity & better prospects of the youth of today.
